Kelz choc Caramel Slice
kelz Chocolate caramel slice
Makes
16 pieces
Ingredients
Base
1 cup plain flour, sifted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
125g butter, melted
Filling
400g can sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons golden syrup
60g butter, melted
chocolate to top :) any fave one will do i use dairy milk one
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a 3cm deep, 28 x 18cm (base) lamington pan.
Combine all base ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. Press into prepared lamington pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until light golden. Remove from oven. Cool.
Make filling: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, whisking, for 8 minutes or until golden. Pour over cooked base. Bake for 12 minutes or until firm. Cool completely. Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours, or until set.
Make topping: Place chocolate into a heat-proof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir until melted. Pour over caramel. Refrigerate to set. Cut into squares to serve. yum yum :)
Orange and Almond cake
you Will Need
2 oranges
250g caster suger ,plus extra for dusting
6 eggs
250g almond meal
1 teaspoon baking powder
icing suger TO DUST at end
1. wash oranges and cook in boiling water for 2 hours , drain well and allow to cool before pureeing ,(WHOLE orange skin seeds and all ) can be done ahead of time .
2. preheat oven to 190C
3. butter 20cm round springform tin and dust with caster suger
4. place eggs and 250g caster suger in mixing bowl and beat well,
5. stir in cooled puree orange followed my almond meal and baking powder
6. pour into tin and dust top with more caster suger ,
7. bake for around 1-1 n 1/2 hours until top is golden brown
* DUST WITH ICING SUGER TO SERVE
great with cream on side or icecream xxx
